What's New – Free Sunday for Everyone

A major novelty introduced by the organisers in 2025 and continuing this year is free entry on Sunday. The Sunday programme is accessible to everyone without needing to buy a pass. It's a great opportunity:

  • ✓ For families with children – come and enjoy the atmosphere without investing in a pass
  • ✓ For the undecided – try the wine harvest as a taster and come for the full weekend next year
  • ✓ For wine lovers – Sunday is perfect for a quieter tasting away from the Friday and Saturday crowds

What Awaits You at the Pálava Wine Harvest 2026?

The Pálava Wine Harvest is the oldest and largest wine festival in South Moravia, with a tradition dating back to 1947. For three days, the entire town of Mikulov transforms into one grand celebration of wine, music and gastronomy. You can look forward to:

  • ✓ 6 music stages – spread throughout the town with a genre mix from rock to folklore
  • ✓ Royal procession – the traditional Saturday highlight with King Wenceslas IV and his queen
  • ✓ Hundreds of wine samples – from the best winemakers of the Mikulov sub-region
  • ✓ Folklore programme – cimbalom bands, brass music, traditional folk ensembles
  • ✓ Gastronomy – traditional and non-traditional delicacies from across South Moravia
  • ✓ Children's programme – entertainment for the whole family
  • ✓ Cashless payments – convenient card payments at all stalls

Looking Back at the 2025 Edition – Record Attendance

Last year's 78th Pálava Wine Harvest confirmed that this is one of the biggest cultural events in all of Moravia. The festival attracted approximately 46,000 visitors – two thousand more than the previous year. What did the 2025 edition offer?

Star Performers of 2025

Renowned bands and artists performed on six stages across Mikulov:

  • ✓ Divokej Bill – an energetic show from Czech rock legends
  • ✓ Tata Bojs – unmistakable sound and visual show
  • ✓ Jelen – hits that the whole of Mikulov sang along to
  • ✓ Mikolas – international pop in the heart of wine country
  • ✓ O5 a Radeček, Skyline, Pam Rabbit, Tereza Balónová, Hrdza, Lenka Nová and dozens more

Saturday Highlight – The Return of Queen Chantal Poullain

The traditional highlight of the Saturday programme was the arrival of King Wenceslas IV's entourage at Mikulov's main square. After a longer break, Chantal Poullain returned to the role of queen, which became one of the most talked-about moments of the entire festival. The historical procession through the town attracted thousands of spectators and created an unforgettable atmosphere.

Innovations That Proved Successful

  • ✓ Wine town in the castle garden – the move from Kapucínská Street to the beautiful setting of Mikulov Castle turned out to be a brilliant step
  • ✓ Cashless payments – 95% of transactions were made by bank card, the system worked flawlessly and significantly sped up service
  • ✓ Free Sunday – the newly introduced free Sunday entry was an instant hit and continues in 2026
Fun fact from 2025: The weather was exceptionally kind to the festival, the atmosphere was outstanding and the wine stalls offered hundreds of samples from the best Mikulov wineries. Anyone who experienced last year's edition knows that the Pálava Wine Harvest is an experience worth repeating!
